Terms of Use

Last updated: July 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Regulate mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Not medical advice

Regulate is a wellness and self-regulation tool, not a medical device, and nothing in the app is medical advice.

The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or mental health condition. Its exercises are general wellness practices informed by publicly available research on nervous system regulation. They are not therapy and are not a substitute for care from a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, or other qualified health professional.

Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions about a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read or did in this app.

2. Emergencies and crisis support

If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself or others, or experiencing a medical emergency, do not rely on this app. Call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 in the EU) immediately, or contact a crisis line - in the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Regulate is not an emergency service and is not monitored by anyone who can respond to a crisis.

3. Using the app safely

4. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should use it with the consent of a parent or guardian.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

6. Your content and data

Your session records and progress data are stored on your device and belong to you. See the Privacy Policy for details on the limited data handled by third parties.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its exercises, design, text, graphics, and branding are owned by Regulate's creator and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own devices. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.

8. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to circumvent purchase gating, no interfering with the Service's operation, and no using the Service in violation of applicable law.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant any particular wellness outcome from using the app.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update the app and these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it, if these terms are violated or the Service is discontinued.

13. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or the Service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction - except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules of your country of residence.
