{ 01 } - The premise

Regulate your nervous system, in real-time.

Short, body-first games for when you're anxious, angry or shut down.

{ 02 } - The problem

The response thatnever finished.

When your body senses threat, it surges with energy to fight or flee. An animal completes the cycle - it runs, shakes, and settles. You sit through the meeting, swallow the argument, keep scrolling. The surge never discharges - it's stored as tension, anxiety, and burnout until your body gets to finish what it started.

{ 03 } - The states

Your body alreadyknows.

Stuck shows up differently in every body - anxious, frozen, or angry. Different states need different tools. regulate asks where you are, and hands you the one designed for it.

{ 04 } - The window

The window of tolerance

Too revved up, or too shut down. Either way you're outside the window. regulate asks where you are, then gives you a tool built for that side.

Revved up - anxious, racing, wired The window - present Shut down - numb, foggy Back inside
{ 05 } - The difference

Stillness is a destination,not a starting point.

If you're outside the window, stillness isn't soothing - it's a lid on a boiling pot.

A meditation app

"Close your eyes and sit still."

  • Same practice for every state
  • Stillness first, always
  • Racing mind? Try harder
  • Works great - if you're already calm
regulate

"What state are you in?"

  • Different tools for different states
  • Movement and discharge before stillness
  • Body first - the mind follows
  • Meets activation with action

Sometimes you need discharge, grounding, and orientation before stillness is even possible. regulate starts with the question meditation apps skip.

{ 06 } - The evidence

You can't think your wayout of a body problem.

Fast, shallow Slow, even

Willpower works top-down. Stress lives bottom-up - in your heart rate, your breath, your muscles. So regulate works bottom-up too: its breathwork follows a pattern tested in a randomized Stanford Medicine trial (BALBAN ET AL., CELL REPORTS MEDICINE, 2023), and its other tools draw on bilateral-stimulation research and long-standing somatic practice. Slow breathing shows up in the heart too: heart rate rises as you breathe in and falls as you breathe out (RUSSO ET AL., BREATHE, 2017).

Not meditation. Not mindfulness. Your body's built-in reset button.
